In the way of a pine’s unfaltering strength, one sees anew the Buddha-dharma. In the evergreens of the immutable truth taught by the Buddha, one becomes absorbed in Samadhi. Firmly rooted in a space, the pine lives in the sound of morning chants and rises low in pious humble gesture, cultivated through the hundred years solitude. In Dharma, any exaggeration in practice is reprehended.

소나무의 한결같은 곧음을 통해 부처님의 법을 받드는 수행의 자세를 가다듬고, 소나무의 푸른 잎을 통해 변하지 않는 부처님의 진리의 가르침에 찬탄하며 삼매에 빠진다. 언제나 그 자리에서 그윽한 새벽 염불소리와 더불어 살아가며, 수백년동안 스님들의 불경 소리를 듣고 도를 닦아 몸을 낯춘 그 모습을 통해 수행자의 지나침을 경책한다.
