Ven. Jaseung makes a donation to the Salvation Army

Despite freezing weather that fell below -15°C, Ven. Jaseung stopped at a red kettle set up by the Salvation Army at the entrance of Myeong-dong street, Seoul on December 24 and made a donation.
 
 Jogye Order President Ven. Jaseung continues his efforts to build bridges of friendship with other religions.
Following his visit to the Islamic Mosque on December 23, Ven. Jaseung paid a visit today (the 24th) to Eunpyeong House of Angels, a child care facility operated by the Protestant church and conversed with Director Cho Kyu Hwan in a congenial atmosphere.
 
 Ven. Jaseung said, “I came to visit on the occasion of the Christmas holiday,” and added, “From inside, it is much bigger than it looked. It is of substantial scale.”Director Cho replied “I was happy to see a Christmas tree erected on the ground of Jokyesa Temple on the news” and said, “we see an increasing tension among different religions these days. I hope the rest of the society will understand the message you are trying to convey.”

Jogye Order President Ven. Jaseung visits a facility for disabled adults, personally delivers a New Year’s gift to each resident, and has a photo session. 
 
After the tour of Eunpyeong House of Angels, Ven. Jaseung paid a visit to Eunpyeong Rehabilitation Center and hand delivered the New Year’s gift to everyone. Ven. Jaseung was accompanied by Ven. Hyekyeong, Director of the Bureau of Social Affairs and Ven. Jongseon, Representative Director of Jokye Oder Social Welfare Foundation.
 
Ven. Jaseung also visited a Salvation Army red kettle located in downtown Seoul. He made a donation to the red kettle in Myeong-dong as an act of compassionate sharing. He also complimented the Salvation Army volunteers for braving the bitter cold (below -15°C to ring the bell of love.
