On July 13th The New York Bulkwang Zen Center(headed by Ven. Huikwang) youth group lent the NGO ‘People to People’ a hand with packing school supplies bringing the teaching of compassion into practice. The school supplies packed on that day were to be distributed to low-income neighborhoods and Ukrainian war refugee families. They filled a total of 130 backpacks with notebooks, pencils, colored pencils, rulers, and erasers.

They also donated $300 to the refugee relief fund from the proceeds of their tea sales in May on Buddha’s Birthday
