Compassionate Mind, Abundant World

The Buddha's Birthday Celebration Committee announced the 2016's slogan to the public, "
Compassionate Mind, Abundant World.
" It was chosen out of many entries through many layers of screening and examinations from the public contest.

Meaning

"The Buddha came to the earth to help all sentient beings realize deep wisdom and compassion within themselves. This slogan is a call to the public to join making an abundant society by practicing "self-examination" not to fall selfish and "non-discriminating universal compassion" to accept and understand differences of others, empathize others and to interact among others in our daily lives. These practices should awaken our deep wisdom and compassion and thereby get through the today's tough time caused by insecure social, political and economic situation both domestically and globally."
