Dallas Bohyunsa Temple(Abbot Ven. Jiam) held sunset and sunrise events for New Year’s Day from December 31 to January 1, 2024. The followers lit candles on the alter, expressing wishes and aspirations such as 'living peacefully and tranquilly,' 'having plenty of tolerance and generosity,' 'being free' and 'being compassionate and benevolent', and chanted recitations and read New Year's resolutions. Following this, they completed three rounds of 108 prostrations, contemplating repentance, gratitude, and aspirations, and concluded the program with a simulation of death experience, the temple bell ringing at midnight, and chanting New Year's resolutions.
