Wonjuksa

Wonjeksa was established in August 2002 at an unoccupied church building located in Bergen County, New Jersey, under the guidance of Ven. Seongo, who had several years of experience in teaching meditation in the Mid-Atlantic region. The temple conducts weekly Dharma services on Sundays, attended by approximately 30 individuals, and it actively engages in programs for the youth. Moreover, Wonjeksa holds prayer rituals on the first day of every month in the lunar calendar. The temple also provides a range of programs, including yoga and vipassana meditation sessions in the evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. In 2019, Wonjeksa officiated a ceremony to enshrine an altar painting commissioned by devoted followers, marking the occasion with the eye-dotting ritual.
