Bubjusa

Ven. Jewon founded Bubjusa in Maryland in 1983 with the support of the local Buddhist community. Following this, the present abbot initiated several projects, including the creation of a Buddhist cultural college, the provision of free technical courses, and the operation of a Korean language school. Following the guiding principle of "Know the right things and do the right things," the temple regularly conducts Dharma services with an average attendance of 20 to 30 followers. Over time, Bubjusa has established itself as a central hub for Korean Buddhism in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, catering to both the local Korean community and non-Korean residents.
