For approximately eight years, starting from October 2008 until the establishment of Buddhanara Temple in October 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia, monthly Dharma services took place at a Suwanee community center. The temple's inaugural ceremony occurred on October 12, 2014. Sunday Dharma services cater to the Korean immigrant community, and on Saturdays, meditation sessions welcome participants without Korean backgrounds, emphasizing the temple’s integration into the local community. Buddhanara Temple carefully preserves the natural beauty of its surroundings, featuring a sprawling lake spanning about 13,000 square meters. Dedicated volunteers are responsible for maintaining the temple and its premises. The temple has evolved into a beloved attraction for residents, drawing numerous visitors to the area.
