Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism

Korean Buddhist Association Hong Kong Ltd.

Dharma propagation efforts in Hong Kong gained momentum in 1969, driven by the aspirations of many people, including Great masters such as Master Seung Sahn and Master Cheonghwa. The Korean Buddhist Association Hong Kong LTD embarked on its mission in 1972 under the leadership of Ven. Cheonghwa, and by 1980, it was officially incorporated as the local Buddhist community in Hong Kong came together to create a more stable place for practice and settled at the current location in 1984. The Buddhist Association Hong Kong LTD serves as a refuge for Buddhists in Hong Kong, dedicated to the practice of authentic Buddhist teachings. Regular Dharma services are conducted on the first day of the lunar month, drawing around 30 participants. Additionally, special ceremonies are organized on significant occasions, including the full moon, All Souls' Day (Ullambane), Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), and Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year).
