The Dreaminus Foundation, led by Chairman Most Venerable Jinwoo (President of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism), successfully held its 8th graduation ceremony on August 22 (local time) at Borigaram Agricultural Technical College in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. A total of 64 students graduated at the ceremony, bringing the total number of agricultural professionals produced since the college’s founding in 2016 to 594. The ceremony was attended by 350 people, including Venerable Beopo, Standing Director of the Dreaminus Foundation, as well as parents and teachers who cheered on these young graduates as they embark on their careers as agricultural experts.

In his address, Venerable Beopo urged the graduates, “I hope you will not keep what you have learned solely for your own personal growth. Share it for the benefit of your neighbors, the local community, and the development of Tanzania.”

Hamidu Mkuju, the valedictorian, spoke on behalf of the graduates and expressed his gratitude, saying, “I sincerely thank the Jogye Order for establishing this college and the Sejong Institute for teaching us the Korean language.”

Students from the Sejong Institute’s dance club performed a celebratory dance, and children from the Borisu Children’s Center sang Korean and Tanzanian nursery rhymes, receiving enthusiastic applause.

The Borigaram Agricultural Technical College in Tanzania, which opened in September 2016, is the first school established by the Jogye Order in Africa as part of its global mission to share compassion. Centered around three departments—General Agriculture, Horticulture, and Animal Science—the college operates a residential system for all students, providing an environment in which they can fully devote themselves to their studies.
