LA Dalmasa (abbot: Ven. Geumseon) runs a Hangeul School for children and teenagers every Saturday for three hours, spreading traditional Korean etiquette, culture, and art along with the Korean language.

The Hangeul School was founded not only to teach the language, but also to instill a sense of Korean identity and pride in the children. The curriculum provides students with a variety of experiences. In addition to teaching the Korean language, the school teaches traditional arts such as samulnori (traditional Korean percussion music featuring four instruments).

"I am very happy that my children can learn Korean etiquette and culture," said one parent, "and they look forward to going to school every weekend."

"This program is not only an education for children, but an important platform for the Korean American community in the LA area to preserve and promote Korean culture to the world," said LA Dalmasa. "We will continue to provide quality programs so that future generations can grow up with Korean pride."
