The event was hosted by Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute and the Center for Korean Research.

The Seon master introduced the principles of Korean Ganhwa Seon practice by posing the fundamental question, “What is this ‘I’ that sees, hears, and thinks?” He emphasized the importance of meditation, particularly the practice of asking oneself questions and exploring the true nature of who we are, in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).
