On June 29th, at Muryangsa Temple in Honolulu, Hawaii, the funeral and 49-day memorial service for Ven. Daewon, the founder of Daewonsa Temple, were held. Ven. Daewon, known as a first-generation immigrant monk representing Korean Buddhism in America, dedicated himself to spreading Buddhist teachings after founding Daewonsa, the predecessor of Muryangsa.
