LA Koreasah hosted its first Children's Dharma School on August 12th. The school had five participants, with the youngest being only 9 months old, and five volunteers.


The morning session included a dance to the song 'I Love Buddha', followed by lunch and activities such as listening to Buddha's life story and creating lotus lanterns. Additionally, the children received a doll shaped like a polar bear that bows as a gift.


20231220091507_f9f8c134956cadc014f0110b401854e2_18jj.jpgA memorial service was held on October 28 in front of the Consulate General in Los Angeles to commemorate the first anniversary of the Itaewon disaster with religious leaders in attendance. During the memorial service, Ven. Myogyeong, the abbot of Koreasah, Father Kim Yo-han of the Anglican Church of St. James, and Pastor Park Sang-jin prayed together for the victims to be reborn in the Western Paradise, the Buddha's Pure Land.
