Body

고통을 받다. 상처입다.
General sufferings such as birth, aging, sickness, and death are natural phenomena included in everyone’s life. We feel them as painful because we do not wish to go through those processes. If we acknowledge, accept, and respond to the course of suffering as it unfolds, we can pass through it more easily.
Even when placed in the same situation, people do not feel the same degree of suffering. If we can feel joy more deeply and pain a little less intensely, life becomes more comfortable and freer.
Instead of being trapped in suffering, if we clearly recognize where that suffering truly lies and what kind of suffering we are experiencing, then suffering becomes a valuable opportunity for growth.
Sudden 突然[tūrán]
갑작스러운. 준비 없는.
Although it seems as if events happen suddenly, upon closer examination, there are always clear causes at the beginning, and when the conditions align, the event occurs. Even a sudden bolt of lightning from the sky arises from causes and environmental conditions coming together.
We should not intentionally show dislike toward those we dislike, nor should we hurt others’ hearts for the sake of our own benefit. All of these become causes and conditions that influence our own lives. The way our mind acts and the attitude we take toward the relationships we encounter accumulate within, and when they erupt all at once, they appear to us as sudden events.
If you wish to receive pleasant surprises, you must, in daily life, offer gentle words, create comfort for those around you, and make them feel that their dignity is respected. If you do the opposite, the result will also be a “surprise,” but it will be an outcome that you do not like waiting for you.
May you have a peaceful day.
