Daesung shakya-sa
Daesung Shakya-sa in Lumbini, Nepal started its construction after signing a contract with the Nepalese government on February 27, 1995. Ground was broken on April 8 of the same year and subsequently, the temple completed the first and second dormitories in 1999 and 2000, respectively. By 2013, the temple had finished the main Dharma hall's roof and engaged in interior decoration work including dancheong, a traditional multicolored paintwork on wooden structures. The temple maintains a daily schedule of practices, including morning, mid-day, and evening chantings. It also observes significant events such as Buddha's birthdays. Furthermore, Daesung Shakya-sa serves as an accommodation facility for pilgrims who visit Sakyamuni Buddha’s birthplace in Lumbini.
