Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism
DOSOLSA
Dosolsa, established in 2003 by Korean monks who came to Japan for their studies, offered solace to Korean immigrants yearning for their homeland through the conduct of Dharma services. While the temple initially encountered challenges when the Korean monks returned home, it has since achieved stability. Dosolsa's primary focus centers on Dharma talks and the observance of lantern-lightening ceremonies on the first day of each lunar month to extend spiritual support to Korean immigrants who might struggle with the hardships and isolation of life in a foreign land. The temple's objective is to practice with the congregation, seek everyday happiness, and disseminate the teachings of Buddhism.
