Association Bouddhique Coreenne
Association Bouddhique Coreenne, located in Torcy near Paris, is a branch temple of Songgwang-sa Temple, and it was established on October 10, 1993, by Ven. Beopjeong, who advocated the spirit of "non-possession," known as musoyu in Korean. The temple serves as a spiritual refuge for Korean immigrants and students in France while also introducing Korean Buddhist culture to the French community. It actively participates in cultural exchanges and collaboration with various local organizations, including the Korean Cultural Center in France, Université Paris VII, and the Korean Society. The temple holds regular Sunday Dharma services twice a month, typically attended by around 30 participants, and it organizes bi-monthly Saturday meditation sessions for non-Korean residents.
