Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism
Younghwa Zen Center
Established in 1995, the Younghwa Zen Center later relocated to its current site in 2011. The center is known for hosting Paramita Dharma service with 20 to 30 attendees and Virocana Dharma services with around 10 participants. Additionally, it conducts rituals dedicated to Kstigarbha and Avalokitesvara Bodhisattvas, as well as a regular Dharma service on the first day of each lunar calendar month. Beyond its physical location, the center also runs an online temple. One of its programs, the "Zen Master’s Kitchen," is dedicated to promoting Korean temple cuisine, adhering strictly to veganism and following the restrictions on the use of the five pungent herbs. Through these diverse activities and offerings, the Younghwa Zen Center serves as a spiritual sanctuary for both Koreans and individuals from various ethnic backgrounds.
