Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism
Hanmaum Seon Center del Budismo Corean
Hanmaum Seon Center del Budismo Coreano in Buenos Aires was initiated by Argentine Buddhists in the mid-1980s, driven by their deep commitment to Buddhist practice. It was officially established in 1991 and subsequently relocated to its current location in 1992. The center gained recognition in Buenos Aires after making an appearance on local TV in 1994, sparking interest in Korean Buddhism and resulting in more visits to the center. Since 2001, it has actively participated in various activities, including sutra translation and involvement in two Frankfurt Book Fairs. Recent endeavors involve creating content for YouTube, producing dubbed videos for children, hosting Saturday Dharma services for local participants, and organizing Sunday Dharma services for Korean practitioners. Despite their busy lives, the members of the Seonwon are dedicated to leading meaningful lives as true human beings through contemplation and practice.
